It means caring for the whole person in mind, body, and soul. We build purposeful practices into daily life through movement, mindfulness, nourishing meals, restorative rest, and genuine connection. Recovery grows faster when women feel connected, accountable, and seen. Here we support participation in community recovery meetings and reinforce the daily habits that make sobriety sustainable. Just as important, we celebrate progress, because milestones matter.

Life Skills & Re-Entry
When you leave, you step into your new life
Recovery isn’t just about stopping a substance, it’s about building a life that makes sobriety sustainable. As clients progress, we provide hands-on workshops and practical support to strengthen independence and stability. These workshops are supported by our team and, when needed, outside specialists (for example, financial coaching) to help clients build practical confidence and independence.
Financial literacy and budgeting
Resume building + mock interviews
Parenting support
Cooking and meal planning
Housing/employment/childcare resource navigation
Family Involvement
When appropriate, we help families heal too
Family dynamics often play a powerful role in both addiction and recovery. When clinically appropriate—and when it supports the client’s safety and progress—we integrate family involvement into treatment. Our goal is to strengthen communication, establish healthy boundaries, and create a more stable support system for life after discharge. Family engagement is never “one size fits all”; it’s guided by clinical need, the client’s readiness, and what helps recovery move forward.
Family therapy or structured family sessions when clinically appropriate
Education on boundaries, enabling vs. support, and recovery expectations
Guidance for creating a healthier home environment post-treatment
Support for navigating co-parenting, reunification planning, and communication routines
Help building a post-discharge support plan that includes family roles
Client-centered approach that prioritizes safety, consent, and emotional stability
Nature & Experiential
Nature supports recovery. Recovery restores connection
Nature is a powerful ally in healing, especially for stress regulation, mood stabilization, and building resilience. When clinically appropriate and aligned with each client’s phase of treatment, we incorporate time outdoors through walking, hiking, and seasonal experiences that reconnect women with calm, strength, and perspective. We also use experiential elements, such as animal-assisted support and skill-building outings, to reinforce trust, confidence, and real-world coping skills in a safe, structured way.
Guided time outdoors (walking, hiking, fresh air)
The mountains as a setting for regulation, reflection, and grounding
Experiential activities that strengthen resilience and self-efficacy
Animal-assisted support to build connection and emotional regulation
Seasonal options based on phase, safety, and readiness
Reinforces recovery tools in real contexts: coping skills, communication, and confidence
Optional Enrichment
Optional self-care & enrichment (phase-based)
As clients progress and demonstrate engagement and stability, Serenity for Life may offer optional self-care and enrichment experiences designed to support restoration, confidence, and motivation. These offerings are phase-based and guided by clinical appropriateness, community readiness, and good standing in the program. Some services may be provided by outside practitioners and may involve an additional cost. The purpose is simple: help women reconnect with healthy enjoyment, self-respect, and stress relief—without losing focus on recovery.
Phase-based access for clients in good standing (engaged, respectful, stable)
Rotating weekend options:
Massage or bodywork
Manicures / simple self-care services
Reiki or other restorative practices
Coffee outing / small community outing
Occasional seasonal experiences (as appropriate)
